TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. Participants must be:
    1. Neurology specialists.
    2. Neurology Resident.
    3. General practitioners.
    4. Medical students.
  2. Abstract topics must be related to the field of neurology.
  3. Participants must register as participants of STRONG 8 2026 and have paid the registration fee.
  4. Participants who have not completed the registration payment by April 2nd 2026 at 11:59 PM WIB will not have their articles processed further.
  5. The publication rights belong to the organizing committee of STRONG 2026.
  6. Participants must adhere to submission deadlines and announcements published on the STRONG 8 2026 website.
  7. Participants must thoroughly understand and comply with all article-related requirements.
  8. Participants are subject to the committee's decisions.
  9. Participants whose articles are selected for oral presentation must submit their oral presentation slides and present their articles for evaluation.
  10. Participants whose articles are not selected for oral presentation must submit their articles for inclusion on the STRONG 8 2026 website and evaluation.

GENERAL PROVISIONS AND ARTICLE SUBMISSION PROCESS

  1. The committee accepts scientific articles for the E-poster competition and oral presentations.
  2. Articles can cover any branch of Neurology.
  3. Scientific articles must be original and unpublished.
  4. Articles must be either Research Articles or Case Reports.
  5. Each participant must register a single email account for article-related communication.
  6. Abstract submission, revisions, full manuscripts, E-posters, and oral presentation slides must be uploaded through the STRONG 8 2026 website after registration.
  7. Participants will generally be required to submit three documents:
    1. Abstract (and revisions) (Microsoft Word document, max size 500KB)
    2. Full manuscript (Microsoft Word document, max size 5MB)
    3. E-poster (JPG or PDF format, max size 5MB) or oral presentation slides (PowerPoint format, max size 5MB).
  8. The first author must be the primary contributor, and their name should be underlined in the author list.
  9. All authors must have directly contributed to the research.
  10. Research articles must have ethical clearance from the relevant Ethics and Health Research committee.
  11. Case reports must have patient consent or approval from the responsible party.
  12. Authors are responsible for the content of their articles.
  13. The committee reserves the right to reject, remove, or cancel presentations and awards if an article contains unethical language, previously published content, fails ethical review, lacks patient consent, or involves plagiarism, fabrication, or fraud.
  14. Articles must include a title, abstract, and full manuscript:
    1. Titles and abstracts must be written in both Indonesian and English.
    2. Full manuscripts must be written in Indonesian.
  15. Abstract submission is open from January 15th 2026, to April 2nd 2026.
  16. The committee will review abstract eligibility.
  17. Required abstract revisions will be sent via email by April 28th 2026, at 11:59 PM WIB.
  18. Participants can revise their abstract only once upon receiving a revision request.
  19. Accepted abstracts require submission of a full manuscript for evaluation.
  20. The deadline for STRONG 8 2026 registration fee payment is April 2nd 2026, at 11:59 PM WIB.
  21. The submission deadline for abstract revisions and full manuscripts is April 30th 2026, to May 13th, 2026.
  22. The final submission deadline for revised abstracts and full manuscripts is May 13th 2025, at 11:59 PM WIB.
  23. Accepted articles will receive a notification and article number, which must be included in further correspondence with the committee.
  24. The committee may make minor grammatical edits to abstracts without changing their content.
  25. Abstracts and full manuscripts will be reviewed anonymously.
  26. Participants selected for oral presentations must prepare PowerPoint slides summarizing their full manuscript and present their article according to the committee’s guidelines.
  27. Participants whose articles are NOT selected for oral presentation must prepare an E-poster summarizing their full manuscript.
  28. The announcement of selected oral presenters will be made on May 27th 2026, at 11:59 PM WIB via email.
  29. The submission deadline for E-posters and oral presentation slides is June 15th 2026, at 11:59 PM WIB.
  30. E-poster and oral presentations will take place on June 26th 2026, with detailed rules provided later.
  31. The winners of the E-poster and oral presentation competitions will be announced on June 28, 2025.

ARTICLE WRITING GUIDELINES

  1. Articles must be typed using Microsoft Word.
  2. The font must be Times New Roman.
  3. The article format must be simple, avoiding different fonts, indentations, and bulleting/numbering styles.
  4. Title:
    1. Use Times New Roman, size 14, single spacing.
    2. Title length: 14-20 words, all uppercase.
    3. Titles must be in Indonesian and English.
    4. Titles must follow academic writing conventions.
    5. Titles must be placed at the top of the abstract and full manuscript.
    6. Authors' names should be written below the title without academic titles.
    7. The primary author's name should be underlined.
    8. Author affiliations and email addresses should be listed below their names.
  5. Abstract:
    1. Use Times New Roman, size 10, single spacing.
    2. Must be in both Indonesian and English.
    3. Must follow academic writing conventions.
    4. Maximum length: 250 words.
    5. Research abstracts must include Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion.
    6. Case Report abstracts must include Introduction, Case Report, and Discussion.
    7. Abstracts must include results and should not contain phrases like "in progress" or "to be discussed later."
    8. Abstract file name format:
      Research : RS - Last name - Short Title.docx.
      Case Report : CR - Last name - Short Title.docx.
    9. Max file size: 500KB.
  6. Full Manuscript:
    1. Must be used for evaluation.
    2. Use Times New Roman, size 12, 1.5 spacing.
    3. Must be in Indonesian (except title and abstract in both languages).
    4. Follow academic writing standards.
    5. Avoid uncommon terms, abbreviations, or symbols.
    6. Max length: 2000 words (excluding title, abstract, figures, tables, and references).
    7. Research article structure: Title, Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Ethics, Disclosure, Acknowledgment (optional), References.
    8. Case report structure: Title, Abstract, Introduction, Case Report, Discussion, Disclosure, Acknowledgment (optional), References.
    9. Max 4 images/graphs/tables combined.
    10. Use Vancouver citation style.
    11. Full manuscript file name format:
      Research : RS - Last name - Short Title-NL.docx.
      Case Report : CR - Last name - Short Title-NL.docx.
    12. Max file size: 5MB.
